How It All Began
Our Story
Before Hanieh became the badass lawyer she is today, she was originally on track to go to med school — studying neuroscience. Meanwhile, Xris was studying marketing in the business school. We couldn't have been further apart on campus, yet we found our way together through mutual friend groups and study sessions.
While our friends loved partying the night away at the local night clubs — we found ourselves homebodies, and instead decided to seek out a red sangria.
After hopping from bar to bar that night, we finally found it — just for it to arrive as a white sangria because they were out of red! Despite that, we spent hours talking and bonding that night.
Within our first year of dating, we were hit by a pandemic. Turns out, being stuck at home with the right person is pretty great.
One day we decided to go visit a shelter, just “to see” what they had. Next thing you know, we were walking out with a four legged friend and our carpets have been covered in hair ever since.
Our first vacation together was in Havana, Cuba. Since then, we've made it a goal to travel and eat our way through the globe as often as possible.
Sometimes, that means traveling to London to watch Taylor Swift. Again.
With the Boston skyline as a backdrop, Xris proposed in the Seaport district on a beautiful April afternoon. And thus began fiancé life!
We can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with you.
